The village of Oudemirdum which reflects some of the character of the bordering province Drente is noted for its peaceful atmosphere. The village square or Brink is the friendly hub of the village. This is also where you will find the Mar en Klif Tourist and Nature Information Centre. Available from Mar en Klif is a great deal of information about the unique natural and cultural assets and countryside to be found in the Gaasterlân-Sleat municipality and its spacious surroundings.
